This documentation will teach you how to set up and use the Wedding WordPress Theme. The theme is very easy to use and we are here to guide and help you, so please read and follow the documentation, if there some other issues you want to discuss then do not hesitate to contact us on hi@teslathemes.com. This documentation is more of a reference work if you do not know what to do, or if you are not familiar to WordPress.

Please read the following documentation very carefully as it will help you set the theme up, we have gone through the setup process multiple times and provided the best possible instructions.

We strongly recommend you to use a fresh install of WordPress and integrate your content into the pages according to the documentation. Of course, you can try to implement the theme into your current WordPress, but we will not provide in-depth support for it. The theme has specific settings that may conflict with your current setup of categories, plugins, javascript use, and more.

We wish you good luck in your work with Wedding WordPress Theme, and of course we would love to see your website and what you come up with by using this theme.

The theme is very easy to use and we are here to guide and help you, so please read and follow the instructions and if you have further questions write us a email hi@teslathemes.com. This documentation is more of a reference work if you do not know what to do and need a better understanding on how the template is built write us a email.

Installing WordPress

Step 1: Download and Extract

Download and unzip the WordPress package from Download Wordpress.

  • If you will be uploading WordPress to a remote web server, download the WordPress package to your computer with a web browser and unzip the package.
  • If you will be using FTP, upload the wordpress folder to your site.
  • After a successful upload, then you access your site URL and get this message:

Step 2: Edit the Configuration File

Auto Mode: After accessing the site you will get the configuration page:

Establishing a connection

If the information is correct and everything works fine you will receive:

If it's successful then skip the "Manual Mode" if not, follow the instructions bellow.

Manual Mode: You can either rename the file wp-config-sample.php to wp-config.php on your local machine or on you server (you'll still need to tell WordPress your database information).

Open wp-config.php with a txt editor and enter your database information under the section labeled:

After the information is edited upload the file to the server.

Step 3: Site name and login data

If it's all sparky then you click Run the Install and fill all the lines bellow:

This being the last step you will see a success message.

Success

Click Log in and now you can proceed to you site. Now you can go to installing your Wedding WordPress Theme.

Installing Theme

To install the Wedding WordPress Theme you will need WordPress v3.4 or newer.

Option A

Follow the steps and upload the Theme's installation.zip file through the WordPress admin backend:

Then, when prompted activate the theme:

active

Note: If you can't get passed the file upload limit and/or if you get an error message mentioning exhausted memory size or something in those lines, you could try to increase that limit by adding to the "wp-config.php" the following line of code:

define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

Option B

You have to upload via FTP to the Server, in Wordpress Folder → wp-content → themes folder the Wedding WordPress Theme Folder.

If everything went well in Option A or B, the theme should appear under Appearance → Themes like shown below:

Now you are ready to customize your theme

General Options

To the Top

Create a page that will serve as homepage - In wordpress admin panel under Pages → Add New, name it for example "Home"

Set the front page to display as a static page: - Go to Settings → Reading → A static page (select below) → Front page: → Choose your page from the dropdown menu. If you named it Home, do the following:

Tesla Framework works smoothly, is intuitive and easy to use, once you install one of our themes you will be able to personalize its logo, site background and color, SEO options, social media networks and more; all from one place.

Our Framework is in continuous development and improvement process, we are working hard to provide you an easy administration tool, and we're guided by the latest UX trends and new technologies.

To personalize your theme you need to follow the instructions below.

General Options

Here you can customize the logo, the custom text in the header, the favicon, the theme's main color and some custom css if you have some to apply to the theme.




Site Background

Here you can apply the background color to the theme. You can both apply a color or/and an image to the background. You can also position and chose to repeat or not the background image.




SEO and Social

In the "Social Platforms" box enter the url to the social platforms. If a link is present then the coresponding icon and the link will be displayed in the footer of the theme.

In the "Tracking code" box you can paste your Google Analytics code (for instance) or any other tracking service code.

In the "ShareThis Feature" box select the platforms you would like to add to the sharing button. The sharing button is present on single post pages and other template pages.




Additional Options

In the "Wedding Info" box enter the names and surnames of the bride and the groom, also the wedding date. These are displayed in the header of the theme. Also they are used on other page templates (the wedding date is used by the coundown on the Our Wedding page etc.).

In the "Blog" box you can rename the blog page title and also change the description under the title for the blog page.

In the "Footer" box you can change the text line displayed in the footer. You can enter your company name and the company url. Also you can optionally enter some text before and/or after the company name.




Our Love Story Page

Here you can configure some of the options fot the "Our Love Story" page template.

You can enter the information about the bride and groom in the "Bride" and "Groom" boxes.

In the "Photo Album" box enter the nr of photos to be displayed. To add or remove photos go to the "Photo Album" page in the Dashboard.




Our Wedding Page

Here you can configure some of the options fot the "Our Wedding" page template.

Enter the information about the ceremony and reception in the "Main Ceremony" and "Reception" boxes.




Date and Place Page

Here you can configure some of the options fot the "Date & Place" page template.

Enter the information about the wedding party and reception in the "Wedding Party" and "Reception" boxes.

Enter the information about the hotel in the "Accomodation" box.

Give the URL to the RSVP button in the "RSVP button" box.




RSVP Page

Here you can configure some of the options fot the "RSVP" page template.

In order for the RSVP form to work properly you need to enter an e-mail that will receive the message sent by the form.

You can also enter a prefix that will be attached to the e-mail subjects so you can filter them easily in your inbox.

To add/remove slides go to Dashboard > Home Slider.



Our Love Story

To configure some options go to Dashboard > Wedding > Our Love Story Page.

To add/remove events for the bride's timeline go to Dashboard > Bride's Timeline.

To add/remove events for the groom's timeline go to Dashboard > Groom's Timeline.

To add/remove photos in the lower section go to Dashboard > Photo Album.



Photo Album

To add/remove photos in the lower section go to Dashboard > Photo Album.



Our Wedding

To configure some options go to Dashboard > Wedding > Our Wedding Page.

To add/remove bridesmaids go to Dashboard > Bridesmaids.

To add/remove groomsmen go to Dashboard > Groomsmen.



Date & Place

To configure some options go to Dashboard > Wedding > Date and Place Page.

To add/remove photos for the hotel go to Dashboard > Accomodation.



RSVP

To configure this template go to Dashboard > Wedding > Our Wedding Page.
