    Hi Tesla Team!

First, thanks for the beautiful theme. This is a 2-pronged support ticket that I’m hoping to resolve swiftly. I’m currently developing my site locally, and inasmuch can’t provide links. I’ll list the issues below:

    1) First, the easy one — on posts, there is no space between the “by” and the “author name”. This is poor for both aesthetics and highlighting structured data. Just wanted to make you aware of the glitch!

    2) When one hovers over a post on the homepage blogroll, two buttons appear — a link to the article and a magnifying glass which links to the image attachment. [Note: this is with the demo content’s homepage] I really don’t like this functionality, as I feel it will kill CTR; it’s easy enough to strip these two icons with some CSS, but I’m wondering if there’s a way to a) reduce the tint on hover and b) make the entire area of the thumbnail link to the post. I’d like users to be able to click on the picture to go read :). I’ve attached a screenshot of the space I’m talking about.

    Hi there,

    Thank you for contacting us,

    1) The “by” string from a post already can be changed by localizing it using such plugin as CodeStyling Localization, here is our download source :

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B11RflJnvBkjRnNwZmFIZzZEajg/view?usp=sharing

Also if you will find here a tutorial on how to change text using this plugin :

    http://support.teslathemes.com/hc/en-us/articles/202758832-How-to-translate-a-theme

In this way you can add as many spaces and additional chars as you want

    2) I can understand your worries, you can reduce the on-hover icons tint by lowering their opacity, here is the CSS you need :

    .content .box .image-hover .hover-details .hover-aligncenter > a{opacity: 0.4;}

As in order to make all the image clickable, you will need to wrap : image-hover div into : <a href="”>

    Best Regards

Hey Tesla, I was able to fix the by spacing by modifying the correct PHP file in my child theme’s directory — just took a little while to find! Also was able to fix the opacity via my own CSS, I think perhaps your snippet was the incorrect target (at least it didn’t work when I attempted to use it before).

Can you please let me know with a bit more depth how I can go about wrapping the images in an tag to make them clickable? I don’t know how to include the html in the PHP file, or which PHP file to modify.

    Thank you!
    nate

    Hi Nate,
Please just replace the line 6 of content-blog.php file with :

    <

    div class=”image-hover” onClick=”window.open( ”,’_top’ ); return false;”>
    Best Regards
