I recently set up an elaborate home page (https://ragingriverwebservices.com/home/) with Visual Composer page builder but when it came to the mobile translation it looked horrible. (Have three column items which worked, but on mobile it stacked each word to make the three fit and just didn’t look good.)

I tried a plugin (WPTouch) that redirected to a new mobile page, but do not like the way that looks at all (https://ragingriverwebservices.com/mobile/). It looks fine on desktop, but mobile looks completely different. Today I received an email saying that it may not work well with Visual Composer so I am very ready to cut this plugin loose.

Since my theme is Responsive, and since I have my own server to work with, in the last few days I set up a small sub-domain on my server to handle the mobile landing page, which is http://m.ragingriverwebservices.com/. I also set up all the links, new menu included, to bounce back to the original pages on the main domain. I figured my main site is Responsive, carries an SSL certificate, and all the other pages look fine on mobile, so I would just use them. I know I need to do a reissue on the SSL Cert to add the sub-domain, but figured I would get it looking right first.

Everything is working well except that on the landing page, mobile is adding quite a bit of vertical spacing between the Slider Revolution single slides, which I am using for links on the page body. The desktop view of this page looks fine or I would adjust the margins, padding, etc. with CSS. The spacing is only added when I view it on mobile so that prevents me from looking with the Developer Tools on my browser. I have actually looked at the elements from desktop but can see nothing needing adjusting on that version.

I spent the last day looking through the settings on the sliders to be sure that there was no setting there causing this. I could find nothing.

If you need access to the server – have not used regular FTP for quite a while now – send me an email and I will provide you credentials and address.

    Can you help?

    Hi William,

I am very sorry to inform you that your period of free support assistance has expired on 10/22/16.
Moreover, our Display theme doesn’t support Visual Composer plugin and we are not offering free support for adjusting the layout using Visual Composer or any other visual page editor.
Still, I suppose and can give you a hint that you will need to use the responsive column settings in order to set the width of the columns on different screen sizes.
Please address to Visual Composer’s forums for more information regarding this.

    Best Regards

“I am very sorry to inform you that your period of free support assistance has expired on 10/22/16.”

I am not sure what the above means. I do have a lifetime membership with lifetime support. Purchased it a couple years ago, and we have had trouble with that in the past but thought we had that figured out finally. If you are referring to some other support aspect please let me know. I do believe however that the anniversary date on my membership is that day, since it is also my birthday.

I have also been contacted by Kate Cheban of your organization and she has encouraged me to submit any problems I have with the responsiveness of themes so that you guys can improve them for others. Therefore another reason for my support request.

The page I am having problems with does not use Visual Composer at all (http://m.ragingriverwebservices.com/). In fact that subdomain does not need Visual Composer and though it was installed, I did that by accident and it has since been removed from the site. I wrote that page in the normal way or I would not have requested support for it. Visual Composer was a problem on the “normal” homepage and this is what caused me to write the mobile version, and without VC. Perhaps I wasn’t clear in the O.P.

    Let me know please.

    Hi William,

My colleague Kate Cheban informed me about your email. Please let me explain some of our conditions. Hope that this will make them clear for you and the misunderstanding will be resolved.

Our pricing page informs our clients that even the lifetime subscription doesn’t include lifetime support assistance:
    https://drive.google.com/a/red-sky.pl/file/d/0B11RflJnvBkjY01OZ0xzaFdPSjQ/view?usp=drivesdk

As I have informed you below, the theme you are trying to use with Visual Composer plugin is not meant to work with it. Please check it’s specifications here: https://teslathemes.com/wordpress-themes/display/ and take a look at the advertised theme’s features https://drive.google.com/a/red-sky.pl/file/d/0B11RflJnvBkjclpnRmFBLVVuSE0/view?usp=drivesdk

Our Premium Support Subscription https://teslathemes.com/amember/signup/1-year-premium-support doesn’t include these kinds of issues too because it is a plugin integration work and could be done exclusively by our paid customization service WPmatic https://wpmatic.io/

The difference between Premium Support and Paid Customizations is described on our website. Please see it here: https://teslathemes.com/lab/ and check this part https://drive.google.com/a/red-sky.pl/file/d/0B11RflJnvBkjTkFlYXczZWl2TG8/view?usp=drivesdk

Thank you very much for your understanding,
    Best Regards,
    Mihai
