The “post masonry grid” element doesn’t show up when published. It just has a loading gif but the posts never show up. They are at the bottom of this page: heyitsalex.com/home-2

    Hi there,

    You are getting this issue:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/cityofmanly1/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tesla-framework/helpers/admin.php on line 231

    This is not a theme issue;

We have inspected that the issue you are getting is related an outdated PHP version. Your server must run at least PHP version 5.6.

    You will need to contact your hosting provider for PHP upgrading steps;

Please make sure that your WordPress installation is running, at least, the PHP version specified in the minimal WordPress requirements here:

    https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/

    Hope this will be helpful

    Best regards, Michael

    Hi rodneystrong,
I am very sorry, but my latest email wasn’t meant to be addressed here. Please just disregard my latest email.
We will check the post masonry issue soon, but I can see that there are some JS errors in the browser console, so it will be really helpful if you could provide us with FTP access.
    Best Regards

I can see that the Post Grid item included in a test page returns the posts as expected: http://heyitsalex.com/test/
In conclusion, it seems that the elements that are loading in front of it are crashing. We’ll need to test them one by one in order to see which one causes the problem.

Unfortunately, there’s no way to privately submit FTP credentials as a reply here, only when first creating the forum topic.

Do you still need FTP access to continue testing and debugging this?

What can I do in the mean time?

Yes, we’ll need your FTP credentials in order to help you.
Please email the credentials to ceban@red-sky.pl

    Hi there,

    Thank you for the credentials.

Please update your theme to 1.0.6 version in order to get rid of the issue.

    Best Regards

    Unfortunately, this still doesn’t work.

I updated the theme as well as updated the Tesla Framework.

The masonry post grid does not show up. In addition, I removed the old masonry grids and re-added them to no avail.

    Any other advice?

Could you please tell me where have you added them and provide with the page link?
I can see that everything works perfectly here: http://xxxxxxxxx.com/test-3/

It’s still the same url from my first post: heyitsalex.com/home-2

You mentioned that it was working on heyitsalex.com/test, but that you needed FTP access to figure out why it wasn’t working on my specific page.

Just an FYI, the home-2 page is a demo import of the themes default home page content.

    Hi there,
Sorry for this. There was another conflicting section.
We’ve solved and now everything should work fine.
The next theme update will contain the fixes.
    Best Regards

    Thanks for solving this.

Could you please tell me exactly what the conflict was? I plan to replicate this page elsewhere and don’t want to run into the same problem until the theme update rolls out.

    Thank you again!

    Hi Rodney,
There were some custom modules that were conflicting with the Post Grid module. In specific, the query wasn’t resetting the post data after the view and this caused the mixed query problem.
We’ve solved the problem by adding wp_reset_postdata() function after each custom module.
This fix is already deployed, so you will need to copy the latest version of Materialism theme in order to build any other site without such issue.
    Best Regards
